This 44 mile route begins at Fredericktown Court Square and heads northeast for 6 miles of pavement before a transition to gravel, then pavement and back to gravel. In Perry County the road transitions to pavement and continues to Yount Township. There is a turn-around at the intersection with J Hwy. The route returns along BB but turns north for a few miles before a westward turn onto T Hwy. The return ride routes through St. Genevieve County proceeding west for 4 miles on T before turning south on Martin Rd which is another 3 miles of pavement before turning again to gravel and the return trip back to Fredericktown via mix of gravel and pavement.
A note about riding on gravel roads: They change! If you’re new to riding on gravel it’s important to remember that they can and often do change over the course of days. Sometimes the change is brought on by heavy rains. Other times it might be maintenance work by the county and other times just traffic. Remember that if you return to a gravel route you’ve ridden before that the surface gravel is likely to be at least a little different and may be very different!
