Livable Streets? Learn more…

In a nutshell:

The Missouri Livable Streets project seeks to support and improve the health, well-being and economic vitality of all people and communities across the state through transportation and active living policy development and education.

It isn’t just about building sidewalks and bike lanes, it’s about making our communities more connected and open to people regardless of age, ability, or mode of transportation. Livable Streets policies promote healthy, vibrant communities that businesses want to invest in, people want to live in, and tourists want to visit.

You can help our effort!

We’ve added some new features to the site! First, you can check out news about our local efforts towards Livable Streets. Second, if you’re interested in getting out and exploring Madison and neighboring counties we’ve set up a section on the site that consists of road and gravel routes. Maps and descriptions of the routes are provided to help you plan accordingly. Rides range from around 40 to 50 mile round trip so a minimum of 3 to 4 hours. These are longer rides for more advanced riders!
